Choose where to start

  1. Launchpad

For a child in Grade RR or Grade R.

A joyful, structured early-literacy and phonics programme, presented at participating schools and aftercare centres, in small groups in Noordheuwel, or privately one-to-one.

  2. Boost: Personalised Reading Support

For a reader of any age — children, teenagers and adults.

Targeted, personalised support to strengthen, rebuild or extend important reading skills, beginning with an individual reading-skills assessment. Presented at our Noordheuwel reading centre.

  3. I am not sure — please contact me

For when something feels off and you would rather talk it through.

Describe what you have noticed and we will suggest a sensible place to start. There is no assessment or paperwork needed to ask a question.

When you contact us

A few details help us respond well.

Your name, a mobile number or email address, what you are enquiring about, and how you would prefer us to reply — WhatsApp, phone or email.

If you like, add the reader’s age or grade, their language, their school or institution, and a short description of what you have noticed. No reports or documents are needed.

Being straight with you

Every learner is different.

Starbound provides structured, thoughtful teaching, but specific outcomes cannot be guaranteed. Progress is influenced by the learner’s starting point, needs, attendance and engagement.

Starbound teaches reading. We provide educational reading support and do not diagnose learning, developmental or medical conditions, and we refer to appropriately qualified professionals where further assessment is indicated.
